Longo Toyota, the world's largest Toyota dealership, has auctioned a limited edition 2023 Toyota GR Corolla MORIZO for charity, raising $150,000. The vehicle, with a special badge no. 001 of 200, was sold for $98,500. The total charitable donation amount to $150,000 will benefit El Monte City School District, El Monte Union High School District, and Vision To Learn, a nonprofit organization that provides vision screenings, eye exams, and glasses to low-income students in the U.S.

The winning bidder, Edison Wang, was presented the vehicle at a meet and greet event. El Monte City School District plans to use the funds to create STEAM labs and makerspaces at each school, while El Monte Union High School District will use a portion of the proceeds towards a transportation career technical education program.
